WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson freshman first baseman Jimmy Kenny (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex Regional) was selected as the March 20 New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) Division II/II Rookie Player of the Week.

Named the March 11 and March 18 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Week, Kenny hit .545 (6-11) with a double, two triples and eight RBI in 11 at-bats, posting a .583 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. He went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI during an 11-3 win March 13 against U.S. Merchant Marine, and was 3-for-4 with a double and five RBI in a 10-5 victory March 16 against Worcester State. Kenny leads WP overall with a .524 average, two triples, 10 RBI, .762 slugging percentage and .545 on-base percentage this season.
